Lawyer Nicoletta Garaventa

Born in Genoa on 15th January 1960.

She is a partner of the Firm.

She graduated in Law at the University of Genoa, later becoming a lawyer that is authorised to speak before the Supreme Court of Cassation and the other High Courts.

She practises all areas of criminal law; however, she gained particular experience in matters of safety at work (assisting people accused of murder or negligent injury as a result of accidents or occupational diseases, with particular regard to those related to the use of asbestos), the criminal law of the environment, banking, tax law, the responsibility of the professions and the administrative responsibility of  bodies pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001. With regard to these subjects, she has also played the role of defence counsel in hearings of national importance.

She has participated as a speaker in seminars and conferences in various areas of criminal law.

She has been a member of Supervisory Bodies in the banking sector and is currently chairman of the Supervisory Body of an important company in the field of railway signaling.

He is the coordinator and lecturer of the criminal law course at the "Mauro De André" Forensic School.

He is a professor of criminal law at the School of Specialization of Legal Professions at the University of Genoa.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Criminal Chamber "Ernesto Monteverde" since 2014.

He is a member of the Judicial Council of the Court of Appeal of Genoa since 2016.

Lawyer Paolo Sommella

Born in Naples on 21st September, 1959.

He is a partner of the Firm.

He graduated in Law from the University of Genoa, later becoming a lawyer that is authorised to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and the other High Courts.

He practises all areas of criminal law; however, he gained particular experience in matters of safety at work (assisting people accused of murder or negligent injury as a result of accidents or occupational diseases, with particular regard to those related to the use of asbestos) the criminal law of the environment, banking, tax law, the responsibility of the professions and the administrative responsibility of the bodies pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.

He represented, as a lawyer, top managers, managers of companies and banks in various hearings of national importance concerning accidents at work, occupational diseases, environmental crimes and banking offences.

He has participated as a speaker in seminars and conferences in various areas of criminal law.

He was a member of  the banking sector's Supervisory Bodies.

Lawyer Andrea Garaventa

Born in Genoa on 12th May 1966.

He is a partner of the Firm.

He graduated in Law at the University of Genoa, later becoming a lawyer.

He practises all areas of criminal law; however, he gained particular experience, both as counsel and as a consultant, in matters of safety and hygiene in the workplace (assisting people accused of murder or negligent injury as a result of accidents or occupational diseases, with particular regard to those related to the use of asbestos), the criminal law of the environment, the penal banking law, tax law, the responsibility of the occupational health professions and the administrative responsibility of the entities pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001. With regard to all these subjects, he has also played the role of defence counsel in hearings of national importance.

He gained extensive experience with Legislative Decree 231/2001, as a member of supervisory bodies of leading companies operating in the banking, construction, ports, financial sectors, as well as in maritime transport.

He also drafted organisational models for leading companies. He has participated as a speaker in seminars and conferences in various areas of criminal law.

Lawyer Stefania Ligas

Born in Genoa on 27th August 1975.

She graduated in Law from the University of Genoa, later becoming a lawyer.

She practises all areas of criminal law; however, she gained particular experience in the fields of workplace safety, environmental criminal law, corporate and tax law and the administrative responsibility of governing bodies.

She is a member of a Supervisory Body of a company that operates in the waste disposal sector.

She has participated as a speaker in seminars and conferences in various areas of criminal law.

She has taught at the "Mauro De André" Forensic School.

She collaborates with the legal journal "Il Fallimentarista".

She is registered in the National List of Office Defendants and is entitled to legal aid.

Laywer Matteo Sommella

Born in Genoa on 14th November 1991.

He graduated in Law from the University of Genoa, later becoming a barrister.

As part of the Erasmus Plus project, he completed a semester of study at the Universidad de Cordoba.

He was the winner of the "Avv. Luca Ciurlo" Degree Prize, Academic Year 2016/2017, for the best thesis in Criminal Law, with a work titled: "The discipline of predicate offences in Legislative Decree 231/2001: analysis of the cases and their evolution from the enactment of the legislation to today."

He collaborated with the Criminal Law department at the Department of Law of the University of Genoa.

He holds a Ph.D. in Law (internationalist curriculum), obtained at the University of Genoa after defending a thesis titled: "Contrasting Financial Frauds within the European Union."

He is the author of a series of scientific publications, particularly focusing on offences that harm the financial interests of the European Union and anti-money laundering directives.
